This is my first raincoat constructed of clear thermoplastic urothane (TPU) instead of vinyl.

This material, although not quite as transparent as PVC, is far more flexible in cold weather and far lighter in weight.

There are those who feel that TPU is stronger and more durable. I will be putting it to the test.

If all goes as I expect, all of my future clear plastic rainwear will be using TPU and not PVC.
