I use fiber optics and LED's for the lights. I do not use El Wire any more because it uses high voltages and is too fragile.
I also use lithium batteries because they are compact for the ammount of power they deliver.
If you look carefully on the left, you can see a metal sculpture battery holder that I made for the battery that is attached to the vest. This eliminates the necessity of a sling and 'purse' to hold the battery.
The garment itself is constructed of the same clear vinyl that is used for heavy clear plastic slipcovers used in many homes during the 1960's and 1970's.
