Playing with light and incorporating it into my art caused me to raalize that I can create wearable light art of the clear plastic raincoat that I have been making over the years.

This is my first full length raincoat that uses LED light and fiber optic technology.

This is also my first raincoat that uses a handmade metal belt buckle that consists of two bicycle gears that link together.

Unfortunately, the skirt for this coat was too long and it dragged on the ground. After two years of wear, I started having problems witht the wires and the LED lights in the bottem hem being damaged, as well as dirt accumulating in the hem through small tears in the vinyl.

I had to retire this garment after about four years of use.

I have saved the belt buckle. It will be used on a future garment
