Although not all the fabrics used in this suit were silk, most of them were. It was one of my first experiences with silk and I had learned some very potent lessions.
The fabrics here are a combination of drapery and upholstery fabrics that are not normally used for clothing.
I had learned the hard way that when you wash these types of fabrics in a washing machine, they do not all shrink at the same rate.
The pants had to be soon retired because the fabrics did not shrink evenly.
The shirt had survived washing and I still have it. However, I had lost weight and do not wear it often as it hangs poorly on me now.
