Christmas Suit
Made during Christmas season of 1998 to be worn during the WGBH Holiday Pledge drive in Boston. They put me in the front row of the phone back because they loved the colors. People called the station to pledge and ask where I got the outfit from. Many people did not believe that I made it.

There is a very interesting incident that happened to me while wearing this suit during the 1999 Christmas season.

I had volunteered to be an usher for the Boston Gay Mens Chorus concert at the Provicetown Town Hall, which they do each year to open the Christmas celebration season in Provincetown, Massachusetts on Cape Cod.

I wore this outfit while I was collecting tickets and showing the patrons their seats in the auditorium.

The patrons loved the outfit and I had received many positive comments not only from patrons by also from bystanders passing Provincetown Town Hall that evening.

Unfortunately, the house manager felt that it was too flashy even for Christmas and told me not to wear it!

I have lost much weight since making this garment and it is considerably too large to wear comfortably. While I still have this garment, I will wear it only for very special occasions and with an appropriate belt to keep it from falling off.

This suit is nearly 20 years old. It is still in pristine condition. What is very interesting (and disturbing in a way) is that at 18 years old, this suit is in better condition than some new clothing still in the rack in stores.

If you live here in Bellingham, Washington; you might see me wear it for some occasions.
