Glad Day Books was one of the first gay bookstores in the country that was not an adult bookstore. It was a popular hangout with the intellectual gay and lesbian community. Unfortunately it was forced to close because of the increasing rents in the Back Bay area of Boston.
I don't know if Glad Day Books ever had an Oscar Wilde sale, but I can have my fantasies when engraving this light art engraving that is now mounted on the frame of my bicycle.
