If you look carefully at this close up of Jesus of The Last Supper, you will see steel 'leg' illuminated by red LED's behind my glass engravings of Jesus's legs and body.
As you look up, you can barely see a steel figure of the body and both sets of arms.
The steel sculpture behind the glass engraving has the practical purpose of holding up the chalice of quartz crystals.
The stell scultpure also has the purpose of suggesting to the viewer that there is more of Jesus than just what you see when you first look at the image.
The subtlety of the metal sculpture is intended so that you are gently drawn into your own imagination of the image; a window for you to peer into your own understanding of the images that I create.
