After many weeks of dreaming; collecting glass and metal from various sources throughout Portland; skimming through thousands of images from both my own memories as well as on-line; cutting; grinding; welding; engraving; polishing; electrical wiring; getting cut on broken glass; getting burned by touching metal too soon after welding; getting flash blinded by forgetting to lower the welding hood before striking the GTAW arc; laughing; crying; and just having one heck of a good time; I came up with this light art sculpture.
Although this piece may be controversal to some people, I have been very careful to avoid any images of nudity or sexual activity. This piece of art of safe for work and safe for kids. It is meant to be a conversation piece.
This is a modular sculpture that can be taken apart and fit into a small suitcase as well as arranged as the viewer wants.
All of the engravings are glass. There is no polycarbonate or plastics in this sculpture because I feel that glass plays wight light nicer than plastics.
