Jacques Gay Bar And Freight Elevator To Regency Baths Boston
In order to go upstairs to the Regency Baths in Boston, you had to use an acient freight elevator. The image of the freight elevator in this glass engraving is what I remember of the elevator back in the 1970's.

The Regency Baths were the poor mans's Club Baths. Since the buildig in which the Regency Baths was very non-descript and ugly, I took some artistc liberty to depict it as a small cottage above the freight elevator. My depiction of the Club Baths (also located in an ugly run down building) is the cottage to the left.

I never been inside Jacques gay bar in Boston. However I am aware that it was a popular drag bar in the 1970's. This engraving is of my own artistic invention. There are no pictures of Jacques on line and Jacques has been closed for many years.

This engraving is part of the glass diorama that is on my bicycle.
